Mark Sclafani - San Dan (3rd Degree Black Belt): Mark first became a student
of Martial Arts in 1978. In 1991 he started as a student in the style of
Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu Karate. He started studying with Shihan Elliot
Zygodny that same year and is still a student of his today at New York Shorin
Ryu Karate, based in Manhattan (http://nyshorinryukarate.com).

Mark is also studying in New Jersey with Grandmaster Mark Kline  
www.markklinekarate.com. In 2001 he started learning the art of Tuite Jitsu,
which consists of grappling maneuvers, and Kyusho Jitsu, which consists of
nerve attacks using pressure points throughout the body for self defense. In
2007 he earned the rank of San Dan (3rd Degree Black Belt).

Walk with Confidence-Self Defense Class
In this class we will explore and learn simple techniques on
how to defend oneself against superior size and strength
by understanding body mechanics and using pressure
points. As a student in this class you will gain knowledge of
these points and the most effective methods of application.
One does not need superior speed or strength in this
method of self defense. A background in Martial Arts is
NOT required. Anyone can learn these methods through
knowledge, focus and practice.
